World’s most strongest Pokemon & 15 Most Powerful Pokemon Of All Time
Arcanine is a Fire Type Pokémon, and a pseudo-Legendary Pokémon. It is evolved from Growlithe using a Fire Stone, a rare gem filled with firey power. It is a canine Pokémon that proves to be its trainer’s best friend, not just by being super powerful, but also loyal and brave. So brave, in fact, that it has often been used as police dogs in the anime.
One of its impressive powers is being able to run 6,200 miles in 24 hours, and runs so smoothly it appears as though it is flying. That is a speed that most Pokémon cannot compete with! Not only is its running a beautiful sight, but its majestic bark is so admirable it is said that anyone who hears it will grovel before it. All this awesome power it has is due to a flame that blazes inside its body, fuelling its abilities.
If there’s one Pokémon capable of building an army, it’s Grimer. Grimer takes asexual reproduction to the next level with its insane ability to reproduce. As it moves, it constantly sheds bits of its body and those parts grow into new Grimers. Each of those Grimers then have the same ability, resulting in an infinitely growing mass of slime creatures.
There is a stinky catch to this power: with each new Grimer, the bad smell that it emits is worsened. So the more Grimers, the worse the stink. As it can reproduce infinitely, the stench can become overpowering. Good job he can build his own army, you won’t make many friends with a power like that. But bad smells aside (or included) his power is definitely one to beware of, and its potential is so vast it has earned its place as one of the most powerful Pokémon.
Machamp is the ultimate Fighting-type Pokémon and is the final form of Machop, evolved from Machoke. Machamp is indeed a fighting champ, with some of the best fighting abilities of all the Pokémon. His punches are famously fast, hitting its target with an impressive five hundred punches per one second. Not only does it have the crazy speed that lands all these punches so quickly, but it has tremendous strength. It has the capability of moving a whole mountain with just one of its hands – and it has four of them! These four hands also prove useful to the fighting pro, as it can hit from multiple angles with multiple limbs all at the same time.
Being the renowned fighter it is, it is known for rushing straight into action and always being ready to start a fight. And with abilities like that, you can’t be surprised that it isn’t afraid to throw its weight around a bit. All in all, Machamp is a serious fighter with some serious power behind it.
Entei has one of the most badass powers in the pokemon universe. Everytime it barks, volcanoes begin to erupt. The power isn’t even limited to one volcano per bark, and so you can imagine how much chaos and destruction that can create. It basically means anytime he makes a noise, a series of eruptions take place – which can lead to some quite constant series of natural disasters. Some have even claimed that a single roar can cause explosions from up to 10,000 volcanoes at one time. That’s a lot of exploding lava and ash clouds. Its power is so extreme that Entei actually struggles to restrain it and races around the land recklessly – no doubt leaving a trail of destruction in its path.
11. Kyogre and Grouton
Kyogre and Grouton may be notorious for their catastrophic battle, but there is no denying they make a powerful pair. They are both part of the weather trio, along with Rayquaza. Kyogre has the ability to expand the oceans. It does this by creating huge rain clouds over the whole sky, and producing torrential downpour and enormous tidal waves. It has the power to control water and has been called the creator of the sea in mythology. It has been known to use its power to save people from droughts before. After its massive battle with Groudon, it took to sleep in a marine trench.
On the other hand, Groudon is a Pokémon with the ability to expand the lands and continents and has sometimes been in mythology as the creator of the land. It expands lands by using its power to scatter rain clouds and use both light and heat to make water evaporate on a large scale. Like its counterpart Kyogre, Groudon has also played a hero to the people by saving those who have suffered from horrendous flooding. After its legendary battle with Kyogre, it ended up sleeping in magma underground. Don’t wake it up; it’s said to make volcanoes erupt upon its awakening!
Alakazam uses mind over matter to earn its place on the most powerful Pokémon of all time list. Alakazam’s brain just keeps growing and growing, as his brain cells multiply constantly. This massive and expanding brain allows it to have an IQ of 5,000! This already puts it at a massive advantage to other Pokémon, not to mention it remembers everything that has happened in the world since it was first hatched.
It has a wide range of psychic abilities from its massive brain, and uses them to move its body rather than using its muscles. Also its massive brain makes its head very heavy and so it uses psychic ability to hold its head and neck upright. Its massive IQ and incredible psychic abilities make it one of the most powerful minds of all the Pokémon. It can also evolve into Mega Alakazam and thus reach new levels of powerf.
Gardevoir has powers that are technically capable of destroying the whole world. And with just that one sentence, it has earned its place on the list. Gardevoir has the psychokinetic ability to actually distort the dimensions of the universe and create a black hole at will. Now when you think about it, this power is truly insane – black holes are known for being powerful enough to suck in anything, including even light. So we’re fairly certain there is not much – even in the Pokémon universe – that can escape the wrath of Gardevoir. As if that wasn’t enough, it is also able to see the future with its psychic abilities
If you’re lucky enough to catch yourself a Gardevoir, then know you’re in incredibly safe hands. It is extremely loyal to its trainer, and has been known to even risk its own life in order to protect them. Protecting its trainer is also said to be the time when its powers reach their peak performance level.
Ditto’s power is so immense that some have even argued its case for it to be the most powerful Pokémon of all time. Its powers leave it infinite opportunity for both defence and attack – and pretty much anything really. Saying it’s a shape shifter would be an understatement; this Pokémon is able to transform into literally anything. Not only does this give it opportunity to transform into any other Pokémon, allowing it to become whatever kind of Pokémon it is weak against, but theoretically the possibilities are endless. It is able to transform into both organic and non organic things by reconstituting its entire cellular structure and so in reality an army of Dittos would be completely unstoppable and if they used their power wisely, they could take over the planet.
And it seems Ditto is quite clever when it comes to using its power, as when it wants to sleep it will turn itself to stone in order to avoid any unexpected attacks. A fairly strategic and well evolved move that warns you, Ditto is both smart and powerful and definitely a force to be reckoned with.
Dialga is a part of the creation trio and was responsible for creating time in the Pokémon universe. It is even seen as an ancient deity in Sinnoh region’s mythology. Some say time began when Dialga was born, and some also say time flows when its heart beats. This has led to it having some awesome time-themed powers and all in all prove itself to be a very skilled Pokémon. Dialga has the ability of warping time in different ways – slowing it down, speeding it up and even completely stopping it. In addition to this it has a wing structure on the back of its body that it uses to focus the flow of time. It is known for having frequent violent conflicts with its fellow creator Palkia (who is responsible for creating space), and so it’s thought to be quite aggressive.
Its powers of time match no other Pokémon, including it being the only known Pokémon to be able to master the Roar of Time. All in all, facing Dialga in a battle could well mean your time is up. It is an extremely powerful time traveller, not to be messed with.
Giratina is definitely a danger to other Pokémon and has the potential to wreak havoc. So much so that legend says that after creating him, Arceus went on to banish him into the Distortion World in the hope he would remain there for all of eternity. Now, if the Pokémon that created the universe is scared of him, who are we to argue?
Giratina is aggressive and ruthless, and was created to make and represent antimatter. Some Pokémon fans have even suggested Giratina is the devil Pokémon through a series of fan theories, leading it to become a cult favourite.
Although not as much is known about Giratina as other Pokémon, it is known to be powerful and dangerous to the degree that it had to be exiled from the world and for that alone it deserves its place on this list – not to mention that it helped create the universe.
We’ve all heard of ‘the butterfly effect’ – how a butterfly flapping its wings can supposedly cause a hurricane somewhere else in the world. Well, the butterfly effect looks pretty insignificant in comparison to Lugia. Anytime it flaps its wings – every single time in fact – that flap will cause an immense storm that lasts 40 whole days. If that doesn’t impress you, then keep in mind that its primary way of travelling is through flight, and every time it flies its wings will flap a huge number of times. So when you take that into consideration, Lugia is constantly causing years upon years of storms just by getting around.
In theory, the Pokémon world should be in a constant never ending giant weather storm thanks to this immensely powerful Pokémon and its pesky wings. For just being able to alter the climate, and the entire world, on that scale, it deserves a place on this list.
Rayquaza has long been a favourite amongst Pokémon fans, not only for its aggressive green exterior, but for the stats and abilities that make him so powerful in battle as well. Rayquaza has always been seen as a highly powerful and capable Pokémon, but now with its ability to evolve into Mega Rayquaza it has reached a whole new level. Mega Rayquaza is so immensely powerful that it has actually been banned from use in some online tournaments, and is the only Pokémon to date which has been.
It is known for being the master of the weather trio and frequently intervenes to stop battles between Kyogre and Groudon – arguably proving it’s more powerful than both of them. Not only does it have crazy speed and strength that make it one of the better Pokémon, but it also has a special attack flame thrower. All in all, Rayquaza is both one of the most powerful and awesome Pokémon to date.
Mew is a much loved Pokémon who hit the genetic lottery jackpot big time, and we’re not talking about looks. It supposedly has the DNA of every single Pokémon contained within its body and so with the genes of every competitor at its disposal, you can only imagine how powerful that allows it to be. Using all the Pokémon DNA it is able to learn any of their attacks to use and therefore has a massive library of possible attacks to use. That obviously leads a lot of fans to ask if there is any limit to Mew’s powers, since it can basically have any power whatsoever.
Well, finding its limits is hard but finding more of its abilities is easy. It is also highly adaptive in other many ways, as it can travel freely in the air or in water and can turn itself invisible at will. If none of that convinces you that Mew deserves a place on this list, than nothing will.
Mewtwo is not only super powerful, but as one of the original Pokémon, it is a source of nostalgia for 90s kids everywhere. It was a Pokémon initially created by science by Dr. Fuji using the DNA of Mew with the intent of being the ultimate powerful Pokémon. It certainly is super powerful and it has some awesome abilities, such as being able to not only control the mind of humans and Pokémon, but erase their minds too. It also happens to have the ability to mega evolve and some super powerful moves. It’s signature move is the Psystrike, which materialises a psychic wave to inflict damage.
Terrified yet? You should be. Mewtwo is said to be one of the most ruthless Pokémon, with absolutely no compassion and designed to only think of destroying its enemies. All in all, this test tube baby is highly powerful and capable, and should be approached with caution.
Arceus is unquestionably a Pokémon legend, but some would go a step further and name him a Pokémon god. Arceus was responsible for creating the entire universe with its 1,000 arms, although his physical form has fewer limbs. So, Arceus is basically the god of creation in the Pokémon universe. As the one to technically create everything – and therefore in turn create all Pokémon – he is definitely the top contender for the most powerful Pokémon of all time.
Nintendo did not officially recognize him until 2009, so for those who were part of the 90s Pokémon craze he may be less familiar, he has quickly become the favourite due to his important role in the Pokémon universe. Not only should we all acknowledge him as one of the coolest and most powerful Pokémon, we should thank him for creating the Pokémon universe that we all know and love.
